Chronic stress can feel like an anchor that weighs you down, holds you back, and keeps you from feeling like yourself. And then it drives cycles of stress eating.

Unfortunately, we normalize the feelings of stress, minimizing how it leaves you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted with life, sabotaging your health and happiness, and completely disconnected in work and personal relationships.

But stress doesn’t define you, and you don't have to suffer any longer.

Hi, I’m Kristen Tinker, M.A.

Through my own journey, I’ve learned that chronic stress, emotional pain and physical pain are connected. When one shows up, so do the others…

But I learned hard way!

In 2020, my spine collapsed not due to age (I'm 54), marathon running, strength training, or injury. It took me decades to see that I'd been enduring decades of emotional and psychological abuse from family members, who (even unbeknownst to them!) suffered from intergenerational, developmental trauma.

I had no idea that my husband and father were both symptom carriers of intergenerational, developmental trauma. That’s how complex intergenerational trauma works - it’s silently hidden, but everyone in it’s periphery suffers the chronic stress, trauma, overwhelm, pain. and disconnect. It's impact is profound yet typically unnoticed.

And so my body knew and kept the score on emotional and psychological pain.... until it became unmanageable. That's when I got curious and found freedom!

I provide a psychobiological, brain-based approach that allows my clients to have permanent relief from hidden patterns of developmental , intergenerational trauma/complex trauma, chronic stress and self-sabotage using self-compassion and curiosity to lose weight and to start feeling more calm and joy in life.
